Chef Andy’s Sushi School
Visa obstacles are resolved for foreign students

Sushi Chef Institute offers a two-month class for novices to learn Japanese cooking in order to be a sushi chef. We teach not only sushi recipes but also the basic skills and knowledge of Japanese cuisines.
Due to a worldwide sushi chef shortage, we receive inquiries from European, Middle Eastern and Asian countries about enrollment. Despite many prospective overseas students who are eager to attend our school, the visa issue has prevented them from entering the U.S.
But from June 2008, the Sushi Chef Institute was approved by the U.S. Government to accept foreign students. We are now able to issue “I-20” certificates to prospective students overseas so they can obtain M-1 visas to enter this country.
The U.S. Government says it takes approximately two weeks to process the documents at U.S Embassies in order to issue M-1 visas. The next class at Sushi Chef Institute will start on September 1. Prospective overseas students still have a chance to come to Los Angeles. Learning Japanese cuisine will take two-months, but it may be a life-changing experience. Don’t miss the opportunity!
